Coaching Iñaki has been a real pleasure. As a highly successful businessman, he brings the same mindset to training that has driven his professional success: discipline, consistency, long-term planning, and focus.

Since we started working together, he has already improved significantly in the mountains. I could draw from his training history and tailor the work to the demands of the climbs he has planned.

Iñaki is now preparing for an ambitious autumn 2026 double expedition in Nepal: Manaslu (8,163 m) and Ama Dablam (6,812 m), followed by Mount Everest + Lhotse in 2027.

After building a solid base, we are now shifting toward more specific sessions and durability work to support his chances of success.

I had the opportunity to meet and guide Iñaki on Iztaccíhuatl, where he began training with me to prepare for major mountains such as Aconcagua. From the very beginning, he proved to be deeply committed, disciplined, and consistently positive.

Throughout each ascent, I have seen his growth, his consistency, and his ability to face challenges with determination. It is admirable that he has already reached the summit of Aconcagua and continues to pursue new goals in the mountains of Asia.

Beyond sport, Iñaki is a warm, kind, and deeply human person, someone with whom every mountain experience becomes enjoyable and enriching. Without doubt, he is someone who inspires and leaves a mark with every step he takes.

He is the kind of person you truly enjoy having as a mountain partner, because every climb becomes special. Without doubt, he is someone who inspires through his consistency and the way he looks at life.

And just as importantly, he also became a great friend, someone I value and care for deeply.

I met Iñaki thanks to great friends who have been fundamental support in my journey within mountaineering. What stands out to me first is something that connected us: from the very first time he went to the mountains, he became deeply connected with everything they represent — the challenge, the freedom, and the passion to always go further.

With the determination that characterizes him, Iñaki has kept moving forward step by step, seeking to reach new summits and surpass himself in every challenge. He has the talent, discipline, and strength to climb mountains, but above all he has a great heart and spirit. Supporting Iñaki means backing a person who dreams big and works hard for his goals.

I have had the privilege of sharing several expeditions with Iñaki Pérez on mountains such as Cayambe, Chimborazo, and Aconcagua. Throughout these experiences, he has consistently demonstrated qualities that I consider essential for achieving major goals in the mountains and in life: discipline, determination, motivation, and focus.

Iñaki is known for maintaining a positive attitude even in the most demanding moments, facing every challenge with commitment and perseverance. His ability to stay focused on his goals without losing sight of enjoying the process makes him an exceptional expedition partner. He is always willing to learn, give his best, and contribute to the team’s success.

Beyond his sporting achievements, I especially value his ability to enjoy every experience, appreciate the journey, and inspire those around him with his enthusiasm. I am convinced that his combination of discipline, mental strength, and passion for the mountains will allow him to continue reaching increasingly ambitious goals.

I had the pleasure of climbing with Iñaki on the Chief in Squamish, where we completed 16 pitches of technical rock climbing together. Throughout the day, he approached every challenge with a calm, positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to learn. He was an enjoyable climbing partner and someone I trusted on the wall.

Based on the time we spent climbing together, I have every confidence that Iñaki has the determination, mindset, and resilience needed to pursue ambitious objectives in the Himalaya. I wish him every success with his future expeditions and have no doubt he'll represent his supporters well.
